Who can see my chats?
Your chats are private, between you and the people in them. Read our Privacy Policy for the details.
How do I add a new friend?
Search for their username, or scan their profile QR code. They can add you the same way, in one scan.
How do disappearing messages work?
Open the chat details and turn on Disappearing messages. New messages in that chat go after 24 hours, for everyone in it. A note shows in the chat when they are turned on or off.
Can I delete a message I sent?
Yes. Press and hold the message, then tap Delete. You can delete it just for you, or for everyone in the chat, who will see that a message was deleted.
Can I chat on my laptop or iPhone?
Yes. Open Gistmo on the web in any modern browser and log in. On iPhone, you can add Gistmo to your Home Screen.
